These are a few examples of chapter headings I drew for Adam Kirkman's fantastic second novel 'Better to have loved and lost'. Adam drew inspiration from a newspaper clipping that spoke of a village on the Italian coast where a multitude of ocean currents converge, regularly yielding bottles with messages from around the globe. To compliment this, Adam wanted roman numerals made up of bottles to mark the beginning of each of his chapters.
